Music City Sisters
and OutCentral
Present Alphabet Art

Opening Reception: Sept. 10

In pursuit of their mission to promote universal joy and expiate stigmatic guilt, the Music City Sisters are staging an annual juried exhibition displaying artwork expressing queer sensibilities and recognizing the merits of GLBTQI&F artists. The exhibit creates an event not currently available in middle Tennessee or across the most of the United States. The only independently staged Queer Artist exhibitions are conducted in New York and San Francisco.

The Stonewall Mission Church is a small progressive Christian Community in the heart of Nashville's midtown district. We are a gathering of former strangers who have been called together by a power greater that ourselves--one whom we choose to call, God. Most of us are from the Christian tradition, though we feel that no one belief system has all the answers. We do not presume to know all the answers ourselves, but we have found some clues on our separate journeys and our journey together. We do not have any Church doctrine or required profession of faith, but we have found that the two great greatest commandments are at the heart of our spiritual journey--

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength."

"Love your neighbor as you love yourself."

If our community sounds like it might be interesting, we invite you to join us for worship. We begin worship every Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. We worship at the OutCentral Cultural Center, 1709 Church Street.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email our pastor at pastorhawk@yahoo.com or call his study at (615) 242-2534.

The Transgender Drop In will be September 16, on the 3rd Thursday. I will be out of town at the Southern Comfort Conference (SCC) on the regular day this month. SCC is a transgender conference in Atlanta that is held once a year. Check it out and join me there if you can.

If anyone needs to meet with me call at 615-562-3566 or email me at vickie@outcentral.org or vickie@tvals.org I would love to chat with you.

Hugs,

Vickie

Every second Thursday we will be having our Transgender Drop In. Vickie is one of the leaders of the Tennessee Vals, a transgender support group here in Nashville, and on the board here at OutCentral. Other transgender people from the Tvals will from time to time be there too.

Since this is the beginning it will be just an informal discussion for anyone that wants to talk about any and all things transgender.

So anyone that wants to participate just show up, and lets chat, whether you are trans or not.

We plan to do this every second Thursday of the month.

Call me if you have any questions. 615-562-3566
Leave a message, if I don't pick up. I'll get back with you.
